The Sierras are a great place to mountain bike and mountain bike enthusiasts love to come up and ride during the summer. There are also some big biking events that go on in the area. MOUNTAIN BIKING IN NORTHSTAR
Northstar at Tahoe has some great mountain biking choices for you. One of the greatest things they offer is a lift up the mountain, so you can then ride back down. Northstar’s Mountain Bike Park web site tells you everything about summer mountain and road biking, including a biking trail map, trail reports, rates and passes for the season, races, mountain cameras where you can see the trails and more. This is a very interesting web site with lots of information about all sorts of trails, difficulty and length.

BIKING IN SQUAW VALLEY
One of my favorite rides is a bike ride from Squaw Valley into Lake Tahoe and on to Sunnyside. The ride can be done with kids and is pretty flat. It is a great ride for the family. This bike path is paved.
