If you decide that Northstar is the right place for your next Lake Tahoe vacation, then I will recommend a couple of things to you:
Northstar is a beautiful place. They have done a wonderful job incorporating their village into the mountain. You can stay in a luxury condo in the Village at Northstar and walk right out of your door to the lifts on the mountain. You can check into your condo and never leave.
I will tell you that getting into and out of the Village can be a little challenging and they struggle with keeping all the stores in the village because they did not do a good job figuring out how to keep the village busy in the off season. However, for a vacationer who is coming to ski or to mountain bike or to play tennis, it is very relaxing to be able to stay and play without needing a car or the stress of travel.
If I was coming to Northstar, I would want to stay in the Village, to make things easy. I like North Star Vacation Rentals because the owner has lived there for years, is an expert skier and a tennis pro, who teaches private lessons and summer tennis camps in Northstar.
